Talk to your group
Hold to talk to one person or a whole group. Missed messages wait in your inbox for seven days.
If your company has turned on Walkie-Talkie, the app has a Talk tab. Open it and you see My groups, the groups you belong to that have Walkie-Talkie on, and Direct, for one-to-one.
Talking
- Pick a group or a person.
- Hold the big button. The app opens your microphone and shows You’re live.
- Talk, then release to send. Everyone in the group who is listening hears you as you speak; everyone else gets it as a message.
The first time, the phone asks for microphone permission.
Missed something?
Messages you weren’t around for land in your inbox, and a notification tells you how many. Play them from the group’s timeline. Recent messages are kept for seven days so you can replay them, then deleted automatically.
No signal
You can still record. The message waits on your phone and sends itself when you’re back online. The tab shows how many are waiting.
What others see about you
Your name, photo, work email and whether you are online. Nothing else from your profile is shown in Walkie-Talkie.
Beta
Walkie-Talkie is in beta. If a message doesn’t arrive or the button won’t connect, pull to retry, and tell your admin so they can report it with the time.
