Install the app

• iPhone: open the App Store and search for Workspace Sync. Needs iOS 15.1 or later.
• Android: open Google Play and search for Workspace Sync. Needs Android 7.0 or later.

Install it, open it, and sign in with your work Google account. There is no separate account to create and no password to remember. Sign in with your work Google account shows the two taps.

Before you install

Your company has to be using Workspace Sync already, and your admin has to have given you access. If the app says Workspace Sync isn’t set up for your company yet, your admin hasn’t connected Google Workspace; ask them to finish the setup.

Permissions the app asks for

• Contacts, only if you choose to keep your colleagues in your phone’s Contacts app. You can say Not now and use the directory in the app only. Company contacts in your phone explains what the app does with it.
• Phone calls (Android only), the first time you tap Call, so the call starts straight away. If you decline, Call opens the dial pad with the number instead.

The app doesn’t ask to send you notifications.
