Sign in with your work Google account
Google sign-in, with the account your company gave you. Two taps, and what each message after sign-in means.
- Open the app and tap Sign in with Google.
- Choose your work Google account, for example
you@yourcompany.com, and approve.
That’s it. You land on your company directory.
If something is off
- “Workspace Sync isn’t set up for yourcompany.com yet.” Your admin hasn’t connected your company’s Google Workspace yet. There is nothing to fix on your side; Open admin dashboard is for the person who sets it up, and it’s easiest on a computer.
- “Use your work Google account.” You signed in with a personal Gmail, which has no company directory behind it. Tap Use a different account and pick your work account.
- “You don’t have access yet.” Your company uses Workspace Sync, but your admin hasn’t turned on your access. Ask them; once they do, the directory appears by itself, or pull down to check again.
Signing out
Open the Account tab and tap Sign Out. Signing out also removes the company contacts the app put in your phone’s Contacts, because the phone stops being a work phone.
Why Google only
Your access follows your work account. When you leave the company and the account is closed, the app stops working with it. Nobody has to remember to remove you.
