Add or remove users mid-month
Adding seats creates a prorated charge on your next invoice, locked in once you confirm. Removing seats lowers the count at renewal and refunds nothing.
You can change your team size any day. This page is about card subscriptions; if we invoice you, every day is simply counted (How seats are counted).
Adding people
When saving your changes would take you above the seats you pay for, Workspace Sync shows Add paid seats? before anything applies. It lists the Current period and the Next invoice: the monthly subscription plus a prorated charge for new seats this period. Press Confirm and the people get App access straight away.
There is no charge on the spot; the prorated amount is added to your next invoice. Once confirmed it is locked in: turning the same people off later in the period doesn’t reverse it.
Removing people
When saving would lower the number of paid seats, Workspace Sync shows Reduce paid seats?. The people lose App access straight away, and the lower seat count takes effect at renewal. The current period is already paid and isn’t refunded. Until the renewal you can turn anyone back on at no extra cost.
Reading the next charge
The Next charge on the Billing page is the base for the coming period plus any prorated additions from this one. Why? shows the lines that make it up.
Dropping to five or fewer
If your changes take you to five users or fewer, Workspace Sync asks Move to Free plan?. Confirm with Save and move to Free plan and your organization moves to the Free plan at renewal. See Moving to the Free plan.
