What counts as a seat

A seat is a person with App access switched on.

It does not count:

• People who are In directory but have no App access. Listing is free.
• Admins as such. An admin only counts if they also have App access to the mobile app.

Five seats or fewer cost nothing. From the sixth seat, you pay for every seat, the first five included.

With a card subscription

This is how almost every organization pays. Your Stripe subscription is for all your seats, paid monthly in advance. The Plan card on the Billing page shows the sum, for example 20 users × €1 = €20/month + VAT, and the Next charge with its date. Why? next to the amount opens the breakdown.

• Adding people mid-period adds a prorated charge for the rest of the period to your next invoice.
• Removing people lowers the seat count from the next renewal. The current period is already paid and isn’t credited.

Add or remove users mid-month walks through both.

If we invoice you

Organizations billed by invoice under a separate agreement are measured per day instead:

1. Every day, we count the people in your organization who have App access. That number is the day’s seats.
2. At the end of the month, the days are averaged.
3. If the average is five or fewer, there is nothing to pay. If it is higher, the invoice covers the whole average, at the per-seat price agreed with you. An average of 7.4 seats at €1 is €7.40.

A person who had access for ten days of a thirty-day month is a third of a seat, so nobody pays a whole month for someone who left on the third.

Gifted seats

Sometimes we give an organization extra free seats. Only we can add them. Gifted seats raise your free limit by the same number and are never billed, on a card subscription and on an invoice alike.

With 3 gifted seats, up to eight people can have App access for free. With 12 people, you pay for 9. The Billing page shows your gifted seats.
